A Find in the Rostov Region
Quite recently, during excavations in the abandoned farmstead of Ivanovsky in the Severnoye rural settlement of the Zimovnikovsky District of the Rostov Region, sheets of almost decayed paper were discovered with inscriptions in the Tibetan language, presumably prayers.
They were brought to the Museum of Buddhism of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” by Yuri Olefirenko, an employee of the Ministry of Regional Policy and Mass Communications of the Rostov Region. As the museum's senior tour guide Galina Aydarova said, the find will be catalogued and entered into the register.
