A grand cultural event took place in Elista - a concert by the state chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi”

It truly turned out to be a magical evening. The Kalmyk audience greeted the world-famous ensemble - the “Moscow Virtuosi” - with stormy applause. The performing skill of each instrumentalist was mesmerizing. Antonio Vivaldi, Luigi Boccherini, and Astor Piazzolla resounded on this day for the Kalmyk listeners.

This day became special for the hundreds of boys and girls who were specially invited to this concert - students of the music schools of Elista and the districts of the republic. They spent the entire concert on the same stage as the star performers, absorbing their energy and skill.

A full hall of spectators also greeted with special warmth the premiere of a film by our fellow countryman - Mingiyan Mandzhiev, which he made based on the last chapter of the audiobook by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, “Ethics for the New Millennium”. A very significant moment for everyone was that the composer of this film was our most talented and, sadly, prematurely departed Arkady Mandzhiev… this was his last work…

Everyone this evening, upon entering the hall, received as a gift a flash drive on which the audiobook itself, voiced by Vladimir Spivakov, is saved.

At the conclusion of this day, so rich in cultural events, the senior administrator of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia, Yonten-Gelung, presented Letters of Gratitude on behalf of the monastic sangha to the head of the chamber orchestra “Moscow Virtuosi” Vladimir Spivakov and to the executive director of the Foundation for the Preservation and Development of Buddhist Culture “Ocean of Wisdom” Anatoly Dzhudzhiev for the enormous work they had done. He wished them further creative success and the realization of all their planned projects.
