A khurul will be built in the Yashaltinsky District

On the site of the future khurul, the monks of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” conducted the land redemption ritual “Salang”. The ritual was led by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche. According to the Head of the Buddhists of Kalmykia, it is gratifying that, despite the difficult economic situation, faith and the aspiration for development and creation are strong in people. During his visit, Telo Tulku Rinpoche once again reminded those present of the contribution of the older generation to the cause of preserving the faith and culture of our people. Rinpoche-la also noted that today it is precisely the youth who take an active part in the construction of religious sites, which speaks to the continuity of generations. Historically, 10 khuruls were located on the territory of the Bolshederbetovsky ulus, and the number of clergy reached 230 people. The khuruls of the ulus were distinguished by the richness of their interior decoration and architectural features, and the monks who served in them by their learnedness. Among the bagshis of the ulus, such monks as Dordzhi Setenov, Zambo Khaglyshev and others are well known. This October, the pouring of the foundation is planned, and the erection of the walls will begin next year. Upon completion of the construction of the khurul in the village of Yashalta, Buddhist temples will be in every district of Kalmykia.
