On May 10, the opening of a new Buddhist temple will take place in the village of Chilgir
The Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak will take part in the solemn ceremony of the opening of the new khurul in the village of Chilgir in the Yashkul district.
Work on the construction of the temple began in the summer of 2018, at the initiative of the local Buddhist community “Ochirvani”. The khurul was erected with the voluntary donations of the residents of the village and the district, natives of the Yashkul land, and simply of caring residents of Kalmykia.
Today they are completing the work on the territory adjacent to the temple. And already on May 10, at 10:00 a.m., the solemn opening will take place.
