A sand mandala of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, will be built at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” for the swift restoration of peace on Earth.
At the invitation of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia, a delegation of monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery will arrive in the republic. The main event of the delegation's visit program will be the construction of a sand mandala of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, which will be dedicated to the restoration of peace on Earth. The program also includes the performance of rituals together with the monks of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” which will likewise be aimed at achieving harmony and the well-being of all living beings.
