An exhibition of sacred Buddhist relics will be organized at the Lagan Khurul
For two days, on August 5 and 6, as part of the Lotus Festival, residents of the Lagan district, as well as guests of the seaside town, will have the opportunity to see with their own eyes the unique Buddhist holy relics. The monks of the Central Khurul are organizing an exhibition of sacred relics: the sharira of Buddha Shakyamuni and a sprout of the Bodhi tree. Incidentally, it was grown from the tree under which the Buddha attained Enlightenment. And sharira is what appears in the ashes after the cremation of holy beings. It is believed that sharira is the very body of the Eternal Buddha.
On August 5 at 9:00 a.m. the opening of the exhibition will take place at the Lagan Khurul, after which a ceremonial prayer service will be held. And at 6:00 p.m. that same day, a lecture by Yonten-gelung, a monk of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” will take place — “The Buddhist Method of Attaining Happiness.”
We invite everyone!
