On June 18 at 10:00, the annual “Һazr täklhn” (“Sangso”) rite will be held at the “Lonely Poplar”. It has become a good tradition to hold it in the sacred month of Urs Sar.
As the head of the administration of the Central Khurul, Yonten-Gelung, noted, “Һazr täklhn” is the general name for rites aimed at making offerings in order to appease the Protectors, the patron deities of the locality. There are many kinds of this ritual, but traditionally at the “Lonely Poplar”, during Urs Sar, the extensive “Sangso” ritual is performed.
During the ritual, an offering is made to all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, yidams, Protectors, as well as all the deities of the locality. Prayers are also offered for the peace, happiness and well-being of all living beings. This ceremony allows the participants to accumulate an incredible amount of good merit.
The monks will prepare everything needed for the ritual, but believers may bring incense with them.
