Another Meeting of the Accredited Tour Guides Club at the Central Khurul

This is how warmly and heartfeltly the meeting of the members of the club of guides accredited at the Central Khurul with Geshe Yonten began. They congratulated the head of the administration of Kalmykia’s main Buddhist temple  on being conferred the high monastic title.

This club was organized at the beginning of this year, its main goal being to raise the level of qualification of those who lead tours in the khurul. As Galina Aydarova, senior  tour guide of the “History of Buddhism in Kalmykia” Museum of the Central Khurul, noted, this particular form of training was chosen: meetings with speakers, dialogue with them, and the discussion of important matters.

The day before, with Geshe Yonten they spoke about the upcoming Zul holiday, discussing the moments of extending one’s years, what this day means, and how to observe it. “It is important to convey all this correctly and interestingly to our faithful and the guests of the khurul. That is why a great responsibility rests upon you,” Geshe Yonten said, addressing the guides.
