Another Stupa of Enlightenment Erected in Kalmykia

Today in the village of Dzhalykovo of the Lagan district, the grand opening of a new Buddhist structure took place. It was located in the very center of the village, next to the Galsañ Khurul, named and consecrated by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama himself. The monks of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia performed a great rite of purification of the locality and consecration of the newly erected Stupa. Everyone present offered prayers to the Burkhans for the well-being of their native land.

Work on erecting the Stupa, which was built on donations, went on for almost 8 months. Everything was done according to Buddhist canons. As the residents themselves noted, they hope that their Stupa of Enlightenment will contribute to the prosperity of the locality and will benefit all living beings.
