The Banners of the Kalmyk People Consecrated by the Dalai Lama Are Now in Elista

Today the faithful of Kalmykia took part in another Nas utdullһn ritual. The prayer service was dedicated to Buddha Amitayus, at which the monks of the main Buddhist temple of Kalmykia recited the Sutra of Boundless Life — “Tsaglsh uga nasni sudr”…

Today all those present at the prayer service had the unique opportunity to behold and pay homage to the banners of the Kalmyk people, recently consecrated by the Dalai Lama. As the senior administrator of the Central Khurul, Yonten-Gelung, noted, this project to recreate the sacred banners of our ancestors was carried out with a single aim — to unite the entire people: “Today, more than ever, we must be united. We must forget all quarrels, all disagreements, and go forward together, creating and feeling the strength of spirit of our ancestors.”

The participants of the prayer service were also able to pay homage to the sacred Statue that His Holiness specially bestowed upon the Kalmyk people. From now on it will be kept in the Central Khurul. And everyone also had the opportunity
to receive the blessing (äds) of the gift of the venerable Teacher Kundeling Rinpoche — a tsatsa of Okn Tengr, made from many sacred relics. It should be said that such holy objects are a great rarity in the Buddhist world, and now the faithful of Kalmykia have the opportunity to receive its blessing.

And we remind you once again that on weekends, on the eve of the national holiday Zul, longevity rituals are held. Next weekend — on December 10 and 11 — the ritual of the goddess of long life, White Tara, and Ushnishavijaya will take place. Anyone who wishes may take part in them, but it is especially important to extend the years of people born in the years of the Rabbit and the Rooster.
