“Buddhism in Russia”

At this very moment, a meeting of the leaders and implementers of the project “Buddhism in Russia” with lecturers in the field of religious studies and representatives of Buddhist organizations is taking place in the library of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni.” On behalf of the Central Khurul, the abbot Geshe Mutul and the senior administrator Yonten-Gelung are taking part in the meeting. It should be noted that in 2022 one of the operators of the project became the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia together with the Institute of the Far East of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
