Condolences from the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia and the Monastic Community
Dear citizens of Russia, dear countrymen! Today at Perm State National Research University an unknown person opened fire, as a result of which a large number of people were killed and injured. The tragedy of four months ago was repeated, when fire was opened at the Kazan gymnasium. In this regard, on behalf of the monastic community of Kalmykia and personally, I would like to express condolences to all the relatives and loved ones of those killed and injured in this terrible crime. We call on all residents of the country to be more attentive to one another, to show care for those who need it, and to cultivate love, compassion, and kindness. Also on this day we express condolences to the families of our countrymen whose loved ones were killed and injured as a result of the car crash in the Tambov region. Unfortunately, excessive haste and inattentiveness on the roads lead to tragic consequences every year. We appeal to all drivers: be attentive and careful on the roads. Remember that you bear responsibility not only for yourself but also for those who are near you. Like you, they are awaited at home by families and loved ones. With prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured and a fortunate rebirth for those who died. Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Honorary Representative of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Russia, Mongolia and the CIS countries Telo Tulku Rinpoche and the monastic community of Kalmykia
