Construction of a Buddhist Temple Continues in the Village of Ketchenery
Thanks to the powerful support of believers, work does not stop. Construction of a Buddhist temple continues in the village of Ketchenery.
“Recently the work on the entrance group to the khurul itself was completed. Only minor finishing touches remain. The facade part of the temple has also been fully ‘completed’. Today the workers are carrying out the electrification of the future khurul, and after that they will take up the heating. A crew for the finishing work is also ready,” the curator of the construction of the Ketchenery Khurul, Mikhail Kokaev, related in detail.
“Our khurul is blossoming with each day, and its opening will certainly take place this very year,” the residents of Ketchenery themselves are confident.
A new park zone has also added coziness to the Buddhist temple. It was realized within the framework of the federal program “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment”. The district leadership and local residents are trying through joint efforts to give the khurul complex an even better appearance: they are engaged in landscaping the territory and holding community clean-up days.
Work is now actively underway on the manufacture of 4 large prayer wheels and 108 small ones. Also in the final stage are 7 Buddhist stupas, which will be located around the khurul. According to the construction curator Mikhail Kokaev, a large ceremony for the laying of the stupas is planned for around the 20th of May.
This large and beautiful Buddhist temple has become a truly people's construction project, and will certainly be not only a religious center but also a hub for the development of national culture and language.
