On June 25 and 26, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, an outstanding Buddhist teacher of our time, will give special online teachings intended especially for his followers from Russia. On behalf of Russian Buddhists, the request to give the teachings was addressed to Lama Zopa Rinpoche by Telo Tulku Rinpoche, the Honorary Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Russia, Mongolia and the CIS countries, together with the Buddhist center “Ganden Tendar Ling” and the “Save Tibet” foundation. They were the organizers of Lama Zopa's two most recent visits to Russia. The request for the online teachings and a subsequent visit to Russia was voiced at the end of May during a visit by Russian scholars to Kopan Monastery, located in Nepal and serving for many years as the residence of Lama Zopa Rinpoche. The two-day teachings “The Jewels of the Dharma in Difficult Times” are timed to the sacred month of Saka Dawa, when the merit from spiritual practice and virtuous deeds is multiplied a thousandfold. The organizers express their confidence that the instructions of Lama Zopa Rinpoche will become an invaluable support for all of us in these difficult times. The teachings will take place online via Zoom with simultaneous interpretation into Russian. On June 25 (Saturday) the teachings will run from 13:00 to 16:00, and on June 26, 2022 (Sunday) - from 13:00 to 16:00. The duration of the broadcast of the teachings may change. There is also a possibility that the teachings will take place only on June 25.
