Faith in goodness, compassion, and all that is best unites peoples

Every day hundreds of people visit our Central Khurul. For some it is a place of power, an abode of Buddhism; others come as tourists. The Muscovite Alexey Soldatov also loves to come here, saying that trips to the main Buddhist temple of Kalmykia fill him up.

Recently, on yet another of his visits, he presented the khurul with special gifts: a statuette of White Tara and of Buddha Shakyamuni, handing them to the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak. As Alexey Mikhailovich noted, for several years he has been collecting objects connected with Buddhism. Thus, recently he unexpectedly came upon a person from whom he acquired this statuette of Buddha Shakyamuni that he offered to the khurul. Incidentally, Soldatov calls himself a Buddhist; everything connected with this religion is close to him, and he deeply studies questions of reincarnation and questions of karma…

With the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak they discussed the details of an exhibition that Alexey, as an artist, wants to organize. He is already working on paintings about the 8 symbols of Buddhism.

Geshe Tenzin Choydak thanked the guest for his keen interest in Buddhism and for the offerings🙏
