For the 20th Anniversary of the “Tsagan” Khurul

The other day, the monks of the Central Khurul performed the ritual of White Tara, the goddess of long life, as well as the ritual of consecrating the locality, in Ulan-Khol. Festive events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the opening of the local “Tsagan” khurul took place there.

This became a momentous event for every resident and native of this village. Those present offered prayers to the burkhans for the benefit of all living beings. The delegation from the Central Khurul was led by Andzha Gelung.

As the village old-timers note, they had always dreamed of having their own khurul premises. Much effort was put in, many people were involved, and above all everyone had the desire to build their own Buddhist temple.

Thanks to the generous support of caring villagers, improvement works were carried out here for the khurul’s 20th anniversary: the fence, the lamps, and the prayer wheels were put in proper order. The people of Ulan-Khol have always treated their Buddhist temple with great reverence, for it is their pride.
