Fulfilling Children's Dreams and Wishes
Today members of the region's Public Chamber joined the all-Russian “Wish Tree” campaign, which was also actively supported by local entrepreneurs, public figures and caring residents.
20 boys and girls from large families, families in difficult life circumstances, or families raising children with disabilities received the gifts they had wished for on the eve of the magical New Year holiday.
The abbot of the Central Khurul, Geshe Mutul Ovyanov, also took part in this charitable campaign, delighting two young Elista children with a children's synthesizer and a “Diamond Painting” craft set. The senior administrator of the Central Khurul, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Yonten-Gelung fulfilled the wishes of 8 children from a big, close-knit large family.
The sincere smiles of the children, the kind wishes addressed to them, the joy from the gifts — everyone who came to the “Wish Tree” felt the atmosphere of the approaching New Year.
The “wish fulfillers” not only handed out gifts on the spot, but also delivered them home to those who could not attend the event. And of course each child was given sweet treats.
