The Religious Organization “Geden Sheddub Choy Korling” Will Cooperate with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA)

The corresponding memorandum between the two organizations was concluded this past Tuesday in Moscow. On behalf of the “Geden Sheddub Choy Korling” monastery the memorandum was signed by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Honorary Representative of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Russia, Mongolia and the CIS countries Telo Tulku Rinpoche, and on the Indian side by IGNCA Member-Secretary Sachchidanand Joshi

Through the memorandum the parties are considering cooperation in the educational and cultural directions, in particular in the fields of Buddhist philosophy, Buddhist science, astrology and medicine, and applied art. Also, within the framework of the proposed interaction, the parties are ready to provide venues for creative dialogue on various kinds of art — from architecture and literature to music, dance, theater, sculpture, painting, photography, cinematography, pottery, puppet theater, weaving, and embroidery — and for holding large-scale prayer services for peace throughout the world.
