Greeting from the Head of the Buddhists of Kalmykia, Telo Tulku Rinpoche, on the Tsagan Sar Holiday

Dear brothers and sisters! Allow me to congratulate the entire Kalmyk people on the “Tsagan Sar” holiday, the Tibetans on the “Losar” holiday, the Buryats on the “Sagaalgan” holiday, and the Tuvans on the “Shagaa” holiday. Today, the first day of the first lunar month, is an important Buddhist holiday of our peoples. We are happy that, despite the current difficult time, we have the opportunity to mark this holiday. As we enter the White Month, I sincerely believe that better times lie ahead of us. The time has come for all of us, through prayers and positive thoughts, to unite for the benefit of the community, the people, and the whole world. Regardless of nationality and religion, we are all part of one planet and one global community and depend on one another. We all deserve happiness, and happiness is our inalienable right. Let us begin this month with good and kind deeds to accumulate positive merit for the benefit of all living beings. Let us pray for the medical workers who have sacrificed their own safety for the sake of our health; let us pray for all those who have departed from us and for their families, for all those who have lost their loved ones. Let us pray for those who continue to suffer from wars, famine, illness, climate change, and violence. May peace and kindness, love and compassion, truth and justice triumph in our lives every day! May all living beings attain happiness and the causes of happiness. Joining my palms together, I wish everyone a happy White Month! Om mani padme hum. Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Honorary Representative of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Russia, Mongolia, and the CIS countries, Telo Tulku Rinpoche
