Today the Central Khurul held the second session of the free Kalmyk language courses. As a reminder, they started this week.

As the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Geshe Tenzin Choydak, noted, it is gratifying to see such enthusiasm, when people of different ages sit in the hall wishing to know and speak their native language: “The khurul has been carrying out this work for 13 years now, work that is very important and necessary. And as a result of these two fruitful months, everyone will have the opportunity to gain that foundation of knowledge which will allow them to begin speaking Kalmyk and understanding those around them. I wish you success!”.

The entire educational process will be led by Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Kalmyk Language, Mongolian and Altaic Studies at Gorodovikov Kalmyk State University, Sergey Nikolaevich Artaev. He has extensive practical experience in teaching the Kalmyk language. He is also the author of well-known teaching manuals, one of which will be used to conduct the classes. Sergey Nikolaevich urged the students to attend the classes actively, to show willpower and to complete the entire educational process to the end.
