Happy Great Victory Day!
Today, on the Great Victory Day, the monastic Sangha, led by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak, congratulates all fellow countrymen on the holiday, on the 9th of May! They note that on this day one feels especially keenly the connection of times, emphasizing the need to cherish the memory of events that took place eight decades ago…
Today at the Central Khurul, prayers resounded from the morning — a tribute to those who gave us peace at the cost of their lives. And at the “Eternal Flame,” Getsul Thubten Tsultim (Badma Dordzhiev), administrator of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” together with members of the Interreligious Council of Kalmykia, laid flowers — in memory of those who cannot be brought back, but who will never be forgotten.
The words of the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak sound like a parting instruction: the wisdom of the trials of the past teaches us to treasure peace, to help one another, to share kindness and compassion! May this holiday bring joy, accord, and harmony to every home. We wish everyone good health and well-being! Happy Victory Day!
