Head of the region Batu Khasikov congratulated Shajin Lama Tenzin Choydak on his appointment to a responsible post.

Today at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia the head of the region Batu Khasikov congratulated the recently elected Shajin Lama Tenzin Choydak (Mutul Ovyanov) on his appointment to a responsible post.

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed matters of mutual support and joint work for the benefit of Kalmykia.

“I am convinced that our strength lies in unity and cohesion. We must help one another and together plant virtuous seeds for the future of our descendants,” Batu Khasikov emphasized.

The Shajin Lama, in turn, also noted the importance of mutual support for projects connected with the development of Buddhism, the Kalmyk language and culture in the region.
