In Memory of a Great Teacher

A meeting of the “Manjushri” club dedicated to the presentation of the book “Our Great Mentor Geshe Dugda” was held at the library of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”. The book came out at the beginning of this year to mark the 10th anniversary of the great mentor’s passing — March 13. It tells about the precious Teacher, Geshe Lharampa Tenzin Dugda, who made an enormous contribution to the revival and development of Buddhism in Kalmykia. The book was presented as a gift to the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Telo Tulku Rinpoche, to the monks of the Central Khurul, to the Drepung Gomang Monastery, to the A. Amur-Sanan National Library, to district libraries, and to educational institutions. Members of the club shared their memories of the Great Teacher, and the authors and compilers of the edition told the story of how the book was created.
