In Memory of the Fallen

81 years ago the Great Patriotic War began, claiming the lives of 27 million of our citizens.

Today in Elista, at the memorial to the Heroes of the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars, a memorial rally was held. On behalf of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”, Yonten-Gelung, the senior administrator of the khurul, read a prayer in memory of those who fell on the fronts of the war and those who died on the labor home front. The participants of the rally laid wreaths and flowers at the Eternal Flame.
