Information About the Transfer of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” Proved Erroneous.

This past Tuesday, one of the federal news agencies, citing the territorial administration of Rosimushchestvo in the Republic of Kalmykia, reported the transfer of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” into the ownership of the Altsynkhutinskoye SMO, which does not correspond to reality. Today the territorial Administration of Rosimushchestvo in the Republic of Kalmykia, on its official website, made a clarification concerning the transfer of a Buddhist temple into municipal ownership. Thus, transferred into the municipal ownership of the Altsynkhutinskoye SMO were the Buddhist temple “Khurul” with a total area of 111.6 square meters and the rotunda “White Elder” with a total area of 12.93 square meters. Both objects are located in the village of Altsynkhuta of the Ketchenerovsky District.
