Landscaping is underway in front of the Maitreya Buddha statue in Lagan
In Lagan, work continues on the landscaping of the future public garden by the Maitreya Buddha statue on the grounds of the khurul complex. As the city administration notes, the garden project is being carried out as part of the federal program “Creating a Comfortable Urban Environment”.
Today the contractor is laying curb stones, building the brickwork of the complex’s entrance group, and adding soil to the mound of the Maitreya Buddha statue, since, according to the project authors’ concept, a mandala will be located around it. The garden grounds will also feature a sculpture of Maitreya’s disciple Asanga with a rotunda, and opposite it there will be a place for lighting lamps.
The residents of Lagan will complete the work on developing the area in front of the Maitreya Buddha statue as early as the beginning of autumn.
