The Lecture “The 12 Deeds of Buddha Shakyamuni” Was Held at the Central Khurul
Today's meeting with the Teacher from Drepung Gomang Monastery lasted almost 2 hours. The venerable Geshe Lharampa Jagba Gyatso first gave a lecture for those gathered, bestowing instructions on the life story of Buddha Shakyamuni. He spoke in great detail about his 12 great deeds, noting that the namtars of great Teachers, including the Buddha, serve to show the faithful that, having obtained a human birth and having overcome many difficulties, one can attain Enlightenment, and that through diligence one can also reach this state.
After the lecture, the faithful received answers to all the questions of interest to them: they spoke about Emptiness, about awareness of one's actions, about virtuous deeds, about the Dharma, and much more. Those present also asked the Geshe to tell them about himself in detail.
Tomorrow, May 12, the lecture will continue. This time the topic “Mind and the 51 Mental Factors” will be examined. It begins at 15:00
