Lectures by the Venerable Geshe Lharampa Jagba Gyatso Continue
In a world where everything changes at an incredible pace, it is so important to have a foundation — principles that help us make the right decisions. This is precisely what the sutra “On Wisdom and Folly” teaches. It consists of instructive stories told by Buddha Shakyamuni many centuries ago, which reveal the essence of the law of karma.
It is this very Sutra that Geshe Lharampa Jagba Gyatso will begin to examine in detail this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in his next lectures. Each parable in it vividly reveals the law of karma: how causes turn into effects, helps to distinguish wise deeds from reckless ones, and teaches us to notice how thoughts and words influence our lives and our surroundings. Importantly, these stories, told by the Buddha himself, are understandable to both children and adults.
The upcoming cycle of lectures is an opportunity to delve into the essence of an ancient teaching. The Venerable Geshe Lharampa Jagba Gyatso will unfold the key ideas of the sutra, help make sense of difficult passages, and show how this knowledge works in the 21st century.
We invite everyone on April 1 at 6:00 p.m. to the conference hall of the Central Khurul.
