Life-Extension Rituals to Be Held in Kalmykia
Special prayers will be offered to Buddha Amitayus and the goddesses Ushnishavijaya and White Tara, asking them for longevity and well-being. Traditionally, before the national holiday of Zul, the Central Khurul will hold a series of life-extension rituals called “Nas utdullhn.”
The first of them will take place this coming Saturday, November 29. In all, 5 rituals will be held in the run-up to the Zul holiday. It is worth noting that all the prayers offered on these days are aimed at raising life energy, and therefore they will be beneficial for people of all birth years without exception.
So, here is the detailed schedule:
November 29 – Ritual of the goddess of long life White Tara, “Dolkar Tsedub”
