May 9 — Victory Day

On May 9, Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche visited his own uncle, Fyodor Levanovich Ambadykov.

Fyodor Levanovich is 92 years old. He was born on December 28, 1928 in the village of Dzhidzhikiny in the Iki-Burulsky district. In 1943, together with the entire Kalmyk people, he was deported to Siberia, where he spent 13 long years.

Fyodor Levanovich has been awarded various honors, including: the Order of the Badge of Honor, the medals “For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945,” “Veteran of Labor,” and others. Now Fyodor Levanovich lives together with his relatives in the village of Priyutnoye.
