The Monastic Sangha of Kalmykia Congratulates Everyone on Victory Day!

Today the whole country marks the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The Monastic Sangha, headed by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak, congratulates all fellow countrymen on the 9th of May. In the morning, at the Central Khurul, the monks offered prayers for those who, at the cost of their lives, made an enormous contribution to preserving and maintaining peace.

The administrator of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” Getsul Badma, together with the monks and other members of the Interreligious Council of Kalmykia, today honored the memory of those who perished during the Great Patriotic War by laying flowers at the “Eternal Flame” memorial.
