The Monastic Sangha of Kalmykia Congratulates Its Fellow Countrymen on Victory Day
The Monastic Sangha, headed by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Geshe Tenzin Choydak, congratulates all its fellow countrymen on May 9.
Today the whole country marks the 79th anniversary of the Great Victory.
On the eve, the head of the administration of the Central Khurul, Getsul Badma, together with the monks of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” and with other members of the Interreligious Council of Kalmykia honored the memory of those who died during the years of the Great Patriotic War, laying flowers at the “Eternal Flame” memorial.
Today, regardless of nationality or religion, prayers are being offered in all the temples of the country for those who, at the cost of their lives, made an enormous contribution to the cause of preserving and maintaining peace.
