The Monastic Sangha of Kalmykia Expressed Grief over the Earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand

The Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Geshe Tenzin Choydak, and our Monastic Sangha with great sorrow express their condolences to the peoples of Southeast Asia, where in these days a devastating earthquake has claimed the lives of more than 1600 people, with a huge number of injured in Myanmar and Thailand.

At this very moment, in the Central Khurul of Kalmykia, the monks are offering their prayers for all those who perished and suffered as a result of the terrible earthquake.

“This is a great sorrow. Our Sangha shares the pain and loss of the peoples of Southeast Asia. We pray for a better rebirth of all those who died in this natural disaster, for the recovery of the injured and, of course, that such a thing may never happen again,” noted the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia.
