Monks of the Central Khurul held a prayer service at the Green Tara thangka

At the N. Palmov National Museum of Kalmykia, the monks of the khurul performed the Chusol ritual — a ritual of purification and ablution — and the Rabne ritual of consecration, and also recited the text “Hörn negn Därk” (of the Twenty-One Taras). Before the rituals were performed, the senior administrator of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” Yonten Gelung, addressed those gathered. On Tuesday the thangka will be transported to the G. Prozritelev and G. Prave Stavropol Museum, where it has been kept since 1946.
