A musical offering to the Three Jewels will take place at the Central Khurul

At the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” this past week, a meeting took place on the matter of holding a musical offering to the Three Jewels. The meeting was attended by the artistic director of the National Orchestra of Kalmykia, Honored Art Worker of Kalmykia Savr Kataev, the artistic director of the A. O-G. Tsebekov State Choir of Kalmykia, Honored Art Worker of Kalmykia Olga Serdyukova, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RK, the Ministry of Culture of Kalmykia, and the administration of the city of Elista. The participants of the meeting discussed the program of the event, its format, and also outlined the dates for holding the event, which will be coordinated with the regional Rospotrebnadzor. Let us recall that the musical offering to the Three Jewels first took place in 2015 and has since become a traditional event. That year 330 dombra players took part in it; in 2016 the number of participants grew to 550 musicians; in 2018 — 700; and in 2019 the event was attended by 700 musicians and 300 choristers.
