A photo exhibition dedicated to the memory of Geshe Lharampa Tenzin Dugda is being held at the Central Khurul

“Captured Moments” … Under this title, a photo exhibition dedicated to the memory of the precious Teacher, the venerable Geshe Lharampa Tenzin Dugda, is being held at the Central Khurul, on the third level. He has been gone from us for 11 years now — a mentor to many monks and lay people, a high Teacher who devoted almost two decades of his life to the noble cause of reviving Buddhist traditions in Kalmykia.

From the very first days of his stay in the republic, Geshe Dugda always shared his invaluable knowledge and experience. He gave Teachings, retreats, and empowerments, passed on the instructions he had received from his spiritual mentors, from the great practitioners of sutra and tantra. Geshe Dugda's contribution to the revival and development of Buddhism in Kalmykia is invaluable.

This photo exhibition, “Captured Moments,” features photos from private archives and the archives of the Central Khurul that tell about the life and work of a Buddhist monk who came to the steppe republic in the mid-1990s and became the dearest and closest person to many believers.
