A photo exhibition “The Development of Buddhism in Kalmykia” will be held at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia

Tomorrow, at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” the opening of the photo exhibition “The Development of Buddhism in Kalmykia” will take place. The photo exhibition is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the “Geden Sheddub Choi Korling” monastery. Photographs by N. Boshev, A. Nastinov, and other photographers tell about the events of the quarter-century period. The exhibition will run until the end of May. The opening begins at 10:30. On the same day at 12:00, in the Dugan (the large prayer hall) of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” a tsog will be held dedicated to the memory of Geshe Jampa, who passed away in February of this year.
