Preparation for the Musical Offering to the Three Jewels

Every sound, every prayer, every sincere good intention on this day is for the benefit of all🙏 This concerns an upcoming major cultural and religious event — the Musical Offering to the Three Jewels. We remind you that it will take place on May 17, the first day of the sacred month of Urs Sar.

Today, the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Geshe Tenzin Choydak, held a working meeting with the event's organizing committee. They discussed all the pressing matters: from the musical repertoire to the seating of the participants. As the Shajin Lama noted, the Musical Offering must be held in an organized manner, as in previous years. “It is very remarkable that we begin the most sacred month for Buddhists with such an important and large-scale event, and it involves many children and teenagers — this is undoubtedly gratifying and always evokes good emotions,” Geshe Tenzin Choydak emphasized.

The meeting participants worked out the stages of preparation in detail. According to Savr Kataev, the chief conductor and one of the organizers of this project, participants in the municipalities are currently learning their  musical parts, and the performers are preparing their numbers. By the way, this year around 15 works are expected, both instrumental and vocal, some of which the audience will hear for the first time.

Dear believers, the Musical Offering to the Three Jewels — the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha — will take place on May 17 at 16.00, on the territory of “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”.
