Removing all obstacles…
Today, from early morning, the Central Khurul was crowded. Everyone came to take part in the obstacle-removing ritual “Sherning Dudok.” The monks, led by the Venerable Gyumed Khentul Rinpoche, recited the “Heart Sutra” for two hours, while each of the faithful was given a small piece of dough. Crumpling it in their palm and offering prayers to the Burkhans, each participant of the ritual mentally imagined being freed from anger, envy, all negative moments, illnesses, misfortunes and all the obstacles encountered on the path.
The clergy prepared a special vessel (body) from dough, which also absorbed everything bad and negative. It is worth noting that the ritual is aimed not only at getting rid of all of the above, but also, in this way, at removing obstacles and creating favorable conditions for people to conduct the spiritual practice of the Teaching of the Buddha.
Concluding the “Sherning Dudok,” all the collected pieces of dough were taken outside the khurul, and the faithful, having purified themselves of everything unnecessary, received the blessing (äds) of the Venerable Rinpoche.
