Rest in Peace

The Monastic Sangha, headed by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak, expresses its sincere condolences to all the relatives and loved ones of the children who passed away untimely🙏

“The entire republic was shaken by these two cases of teenage suicide. It is very hard to hear such things, to hear that the young ones, unable to find a way out of the situations they faced, made such a choice. The responsibility, of course, lies with us, with the adults. We must convey to our children, grandchildren, and the rising generation that human life is a treasure. In Buddhism it is forbidden to cause harm to anyone. A person who takes his own life causes harm not only to himself but also to his loved ones. We all need to always make great efforts to prevent such things. Conversations with children at home, in schools, in clubs or sections about the importance of kindheartedness, about the importance of virtues, about a right mind, about moral laws. In our Central Khurul we are always ready to meet with everyone who needs help, who has ‘lost their way,’ who simply needs to be heard,” the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia noted in his address.
