Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Telo Tulku Rinpoche Visited the “Chaika” Personal Growth Studio

This past week the Head of the Buddhists of Kalmykia visited the “Chaika” personal growth studio, where he met with its founders Elena Armanova and Buinta Manzheeva, as well as the studio’s staff.

At the meeting the parties discussed the modern system of education and upbringing of children, its pros and cons. According to Rinpoche, teachers should not only teach but also be an example for children. “Look at how much time children spend at home and how much in educational institutions? Children spend at most 4 hours with their parents after classes. In this regard, I believe that teachers play a big role in children’s lives. Every child needs attention, love, and understanding from your side, and your task is to give all this to children,” the Shajin Lama declared.

Also during the conversation the Supreme Lama of Kalmykia shared his opinion on the introduction of new practices and modern technologies into the education system.

In conclusion of the meeting, Telo Tulku Rinpoche appealed to the “Chaika” staff with a request to cultivate kindness, love, and compassion in their work and in life. “All of the above is not connected with religion and spirituality, these are all universal human qualities.”
