Take Precautions
According to weather forecasters, abnormally hot weather will persist in our republic in the coming days. In connection with this, the senior administrator of the Central Khurul, Yonten-Gelung, appeals to all believers with a request to be vigilant, since a special fire-prevention regime has been in effect in Kalmykia since the beginning of June. “During this tense period for the staff of the regional Emergencies Ministry, it is very important to observe all precautions when conducting rites and rituals involving fire, especially in the steppe. It is necessary to safely prepare the site, mow the dry grass around it, if necessary dig up the ground around it, and, of course, never leave a fire unattended until everything has burned down and cooled. If a fire breaks out through our fault, then it is enormous harm to nature, and the effect of the ritual will be the opposite,” Yonten-Gelung noted. Dear fellow countrymen! Each of us must remember that much depends on our actions. Let us take care of our steppe, our nature, and be as attentive as possible to the rules of fire safety.
