“The Buddhist Method of Attaining Happiness”

What is happiness? What is the path to it? What steps must be taken to become happy? All these questions were examined the other day during a lecture given by Yonten-gelung, a monk of the Central Khurul, for the residents of the Lagan district.

The meeting turned out to be very interesting and rich. It took place in the format of a dialogue. Those gathered had many questions…

As Yonten-gelung noted, a person can attain happiness by working on their mind. Having cleansed it of anger, attachments, and ignorance, we will eliminate the causes of suffering, thereby ridding ourselves of suffering and becoming happy.

“Here it is important to observe the hygiene of our mind. Just as we observe the hygiene of the body, we should not forget about our mind, our thoughts… it is always necessary to control them, to prevent negativity and evil,” Yonten-gelung especially emphasized.

The conversation lasted almost two hours. They spoke about attachment, reflected on the ten non-virtuous deeds, on karma… everyone found the answer to their questions🙏м
