The Central Khurul’s library collection is constantly growing

The library collection of the Central Khurul is frequently expanded. We try to keep up with new releases in the world of Buddhism and to delight our readers with fresh editions.

The collection also grows thanks to books donated by both lay believers and monks and, of course, by our scholars. Thus, quite recently an entire series of 8 volumes on Buddhist philosophy appeared in the library. It is precisely these works that are used in the educational process at the Drepung Gomang monastery-university.

The research by scholar Badma Menyaev will please Oriental studies specialists, Buddhologists, ethnographers and all those interested in the issues of preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the Kalmyk people. And another new book is the biography of the first incarnation of Kundeling Rinpoche.
