The Kangso Ritual to Be Held at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia
Tomorrow, December 3 (the 29th lunar day), the Kangso ritual will be held at the Central Khurul “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”. The Kangso ritual is aimed at deliverance from suffering, illness and the causes of suffering, and at attaining health, joy, well-being, peace of mind, and order in life. During the ritual, a special connection is established with the deities who protect and guard a person, granting well-being and happiness. The activity of the protectors includes safeguarding the Dharma, sustaining and prolonging the lives of the great masters and holders of the Dharma, helping to spread the Dharma of the Buddha in the ten directions, removing obstacles that hinder the development of the Dharma, as well as bestowing happiness and well-being upon humanity, pacifying wars and conflicts on the continent, and delivering from famine and natural disasters. During the ritual, a special ceremony of offerings to the protectors is performed. The monks address prayers to the protective deities — Mahakala, Dharmaraja, Palden Lhamo, and Vaishravana — and ask them to grant protection and patronage. The ritual will be broadcast on the official YouTube channel “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”. Names for the rituals can be sent to the email address moleben@khurul.ru. An offering can be made via the QR code. The prayer service begins at 9:00 a.m.
