The number of tourists at “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” grows every year
As part of the Tulip Festival being held in our republic these days, a large number of tourists arrive in Kalmykia every day. And each of them invariably visits “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”.
As the staff of the Central Khurul museum note, on average excursions are conducted for 40-50 groups per day. The arriving guests are interested in the history and foundations of Buddhism, the interior of the main Buddhist temple of Kalmykia, and the religious traditions of the people. The geography of the tourists is varied. By the way, there are also those who come more than once to behold the Kalmyk temple, explaining this by the fact that here they find solace and tranquility
