The “Öördin Orna Teñgrin Sañ” Ceremony Was Held Today on the Chinderta Mound

Today in the Lagansky District, the monks of the Central Khurul, led by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia  Geshe Tenzin Choydak, held the ceremony 

“Öördin Orna Teñgrin Sañ.” Traditionally it took place on the Chinderta mound, at the place of cremation of the Kalmyk khan Donduk-Dashi, which is one of the sacred and holy places of Kalmykia.

Offering prayers to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, Dakas and Dakinis, the deities and guardians of the locality, the clergy together with the faithful made special offerings to them through Fire. Mainly  special herbs, incense, various substances, 3 kinds of white and 3 kinds of sweet food were offered.

As the Shajin Lama Geshe Tenzin Choydak noted, at such moments of the ceremony inner motivation is very important, it is important to understand that all the actions being performed are directed toward the benefit of all sentient beings, all the more so in these days of the sacred month of Urs Sar.
