The Otch Manla Ritual Will Be Held at the Central Khurul
Tomorrow, August 22 (the 15th lunar day) at 9:00, the ritual “Otch Manla Choha” (“Menla Dochog”) will be held at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia, dedicated to the Medicine Buddha (Skt. “Bhaishajyaguru”) - the head of the eight Medicine Buddhas. The Medicine Buddha is sometimes called Vaiduryaprabharaja (literally: “Lord of Lapis Lazuli Radiance”). In various cultures, lapis lazuli has for many thousands of years been considered a healing stone. In its symbolic meaning it is purity itself, that is, it purifies from any painful manifestations not only on the physical but also on the spiritual level. The practice of the Medicine Buddha possesses incredible power. Even simply repeating the name of this Buddha can protect from many illnesses. And if one recites the mantra of Bhaishajyaguru daily, one can not only protect oneself in advance from a multitude of diseases, but also purify non-virtuous karma and pacify harmful spirits that cause suffering. The ritual will be broadcast on our official YouTube channel “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”. Names for the rituals can be sent to the email address moleben@khurul.ru
