The Pastoral Visit of the Venerable Kundeling Rinpoche to Kalmykia Continues

For the faithful of the village of Khomutnikovo and the entire Iki-Burulsky District, yesterday became a true event. For they were visited on a pastoral visit by the distinguished guest Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche. “We are happy to welcome the Venerable Teacher once again, and we are grateful to the Central Khurul for giving us the opportunity to receive Rinpoche's precious instructions,” noted the local residents.

The program of the visit was very rich. In the Buddhist temple of the village of Khomutnikovo, the Venerable Teacher held a prayer service — he bestowed the Oral Transmission for the Praise to the 21 Taras, as well as the Permission to recite the mantras of: Buddha Shakyamuni, Vajrasattva, Green Tara, and Avalokiteshvara. The faithful together with Kundeling Rinpoche offered their prayers for the removal of obstacles, for the happiness and well-being of all sentient beings. He explained in detail to each person who came that day the essence of reciting precisely these mantras and what they mean.

Next, Rinpoche visited the ancient sacred places of the Manzhikins. At the place where an old prayer house was formerly located, he performed a consecration ritual, for the local residents plan to erect a new mörgülin ger there. On this day the guests also visited the locality of Darma Sala, where the famous Manzhikin nomadic khurul was located, and also visited Mount Shared. In all these holy places, which have a rich history, special prayers were read, offerings were made, and ki-mörn flags of fortune were hung.

Then, Kundeling Rinpoche visited the village of Baga-Burul, where in the local khurul he gave an instruction-lecture on the foundations of Buddhism for the faithful. According to the Venerable Teacher, this khurul is special, since it holds a robe of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Today the pastoral visit of Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche continues. He has set out for the Lagansky District.
