These Sorrowful Days Will Never Be Forgotten

This morning a special  “Yöräl” prayer service was held at “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni.”

The monastic Sangha, led by the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak, together with the faithful, offered their prayers for all those who perished during the years of the deportation… They prayed that this tragedy might never be repeated, and that all our ancestors might attain a fortunate rebirth🙏🙏🙏

Also today, the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia Geshe Tenzin Choydak took part in the memorial rally that is held every year at the “Exodus and Return” monument.

Many people, with tears in their eyes, laid flowers and lit candles in memory of those who did not return, who remained forever in foreign lands, and who endured all of this and came back to their homeland unbroken…

These pages in the history of our people will never be forgotten, no matter how many years may pass…
